Hi everyone,

What a great weekend! Our Webelos and AOLs had an amazing time at STEM Weekend. Thank you to all the leaders and parents who helped make it such a success.

This week’s email is very similar to last week’s, but please pay close attention to the Harvest Fest section, which has several important updates.

If you didn’t get a chance to read last week’s email, please review this one carefully, there are multiple RSVPs and action items that need your attention.

Den Meetings

  • Tuesday, September 30: No Den Meetings on the 5th Tuesday of a month.

  • Tuesday, October 7: Den meetings for the Tiger Den (1st Grade), Webelos Den (4th Grade) and AOL Den (5th Grade).

  • Tuesday, October 14: Lion Den (Kindergarten), Wolf Den (2nd Grade), and Bear Den (3rd Grade).

  • Den meetings begin promptly at 6:30 PM at the Maple Lake Methodist Church social hall unless noted. Please plan to arrive early so your Scouts are ready by 6:30 PM.

  • IMPORTANT: Parents should not drop their scouts off and leave. Announcements are made at the beginning of the meeting that parents may want to hear. For younger or newer scouts, parent attendance is required until the Scout feels comfortable with their den, leaders, and the pack. Please check with your Den Leader at the start of the meeting to see if they need assistance or if they require you to stay.

Pack Guidebook:

The Pack Guidebook can be found here: Cub_Scout_Pack_126_Guidebook_2025

Each family should sign the Pack Guidebook Acknowledgement & Pledge Form and give it to their Den Leader before October 8, 2025.

If you have questions, please reach out to your Den Leader, J Croom or Chris Yevitz, we’re happy to help.

Pack Store:

  • Each NEW Scout will receive a Pack 126 Tie-Dyed T-shirt and, if desired, a Pack 126 hat.

  • Each Returning Scout will receive a $15 credit, once dues paid, to the Shirt Lady to credit towards an item of your choice.

  • If you would like to buy yourself or your Scout additional Apparel you can do so at: Cub Pack 126 Store

    • For the scouts, these items can be worn to any Class B uniform night as well as at camp. Parents these are great for you to wear while at pack events including community service projects and camp.

  • Important: Embroidered items are only available for sale between now and September 29, 2025. Screen printed items can be made all year long

Popcorn Fundraiser:

Our Popcorn Fundraiser is underway! Scouts can sell individually or join one of our storefront opportunities.

To get started, check out the Popcorn Sale Information Handout for sign-up instructions for both online and store front sales.

Selling is easy, just share your Scout’s online store link by text, email, or social media. All payments are handled through the app, so there’s no cash to track.

More store front opportunities are being added. Families can sign up on a first come first serve basis when they are released. Watch your email for more signup opportunities

This is a simple way to raise money to help cover camp costs and other Scouting adventures.

If you’re not selling popcorn, you can still contribute by doing community service and raising funds for the Heroes and Helpers program. A portion of these funds supports sending popcorn to members of our active military. Your Scout will receive 40% of the donations towards their Scout Account, and donations can be as low as $5. Medical Forms:

  • All Scouts must have a Class A/B medical form on file with the pack. Additionally, all Scouts should obtain a Class C form signed at their next physical. The forms can be found at the link below, and it is recommended to download and fill them out digitally. This will save time next year, as you will only need to update and get the signature instead of filling out the entire form again.

  • Forms are only good for 1 year.

  • All new scouts need to submit A/B forms now.

  • For returning scouts, we will share the expiration of your current form.

  • It is your responsibility to keep your forms up-to-date with the pack.

Pack Meeting:

  • Date: October 12, 2025

  • Time: 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

  • Location: Tobyhanna State Park

  • We will be having our Outdoor Adventure Pack Meeting on October 12th at Tobyhanna State Park. All scouts in the pack are invited to join us for an age-appropriate hike. Older scouts will take on a longer hike, while younger scouts will have a shorter trail. This activity will help fulfill a requirement for their Outdoor Adventure belt loop.

After the hike, we will provide food for the scouts, and they will have the opportunity to work on their Fishing Adventure belt loop.

Class A Uniform Swap

  • If anyone has an old Cub Scout Uniform that they are not using that they can donate to another Scout, please contact Assistant Cubmaster Matt Flannigan at mflan...@cubpack126.org or see Matt at a meeting.

  • Let’s work together as a community to support one another. If your Scout has outgrown or no longer uses their uniform, consider passing it along to someone who needs it.

  • If anyone is in need of a lightly used uniform please also email or talk to Matt. We do have a few uniforms available. Although we can’t get Uniforms for everyone, we will do our best to get every Scout in need into a Class A shirt.
