Hi Pack 126 Families,
This is an exciting Summer for Scouting America and Pack 126. With the America 250 Celebration in Full Swing, Scouting America has been called on to assist with a variety of local and national Civic Events. Hopefully you can help participate in one of the events below. Our Unit will also be working this Fall on Scouting America’s Liberty in Action 250th Challenge. Learn more below.

July 2, 2026 - America 250 Ceremony at the Minisink Lions Fireworks
Pack 126 has been invited to participate in a special America 250 Ceremony as part of the Minisink Lions Fireworks celebration on Thursday, July 2, 2026.
Location: North Pocono Football Stadium
Scout Arrival Time: 6:15 PM
Meeting Location: Behind the concession stand
Ceremony Time: 6:45–7:00 PM
The ceremony will include a traditional flag presentation along with historical elements recognizing America’s 250th anniversary.
Scouts who wish to participate are asked to wear their full Class A uniform and arrive by 6:15 PM so we can organize before the ceremony begins.
Scouts who need to leave after the presentation should be able to depart by approximately 7:15 PM.
We hope many of our Scouts and families will join us for this special community celebration.

Moscow Street Fair Parade - July 26, 2026
On Friday, July 26, 2026, Pack 126 will be participating in the Moscow Country Street Fair Parade. We encourage all available Cub Scouts to join us for this fun community event!
Parade Details:
Line-up Time: 6:30 PM
Meeting Location: Peoples Security Bank parking lot
141 North Main Street, Moscow, PA 18444Pick-up Location: Van Brunt Street Near the Moscow Borough Building at the end of the parade
Please remind all Scouts to wear their full Class A field uniforms, including neckerchiefs and hats if you have one.

Moscow Night Out - August 4, 2026
Pack 126 will be participating in Moscow Night Out on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM around the Moscow Borough Building. We’ll be involved in various activities and running a recruitment table to welcome new families into Scouting.
All current Scouts and families are encouraged to stop by, represent the Pack, and help spread the word about Cub Scouting!
This Fall - Liberty in Action: 250th Anniversary Challenge
Stay Tuned, this Fall Pack 126 will be doing the Liberty in Action: 250th Anniversary Challenge. Participating in events like the ones discussed in this newsletter will help you earn the unique award.
Summertime Fun Award
Cub Scouts can earn the Summertime Fun Adventure by participating in three Cub Scout activities between May and August.
All of the events featured in this newsletter count toward this award, making summer a great time to have fun and make progress on your adventures!
Information on how to record your participation and receive the award will be shared in August.
