I hope everyone is having a good week. As we approach the weekend, I wanted to share a little more detail about this weekend's community service project.
Event Reminder: Food Drive at Bill’s Shoprite
Date: Sunday, November 16, 2025
Time: 9 AM - 5 PM
Purpose: Collecting food for the North Pocono Food Pantry
Sign-Up:
It’s not too late to join! You can sign up at the Food Drive Service Project.
Community Donations:
Please do not bring any food collected from the community via door hangers into Shoprite. We will schedule a time during your shift for you to drop these items off directly to the food pantry behind Tasty Swirl.
Uniform:
Scouts should wear their Class A uniforms.
Roles at Shoprite:
We will divide into two groups:
1. Entrance Group: Passing out flyers about the event and the food pantry’s needs.
2. Exit Group: Collecting food donations as people exit the store and loading them into vehicles for transport to the food pantry.
Additional Help Needed:
Some time slots have fewer participants. If you’re able to switch to a less-populated slot, it would be appreciated. You can check your current signup at the Food Drive Service Project
Note:
Scouts who do not participate in this event will need to complete an alternative service project with a parent or guardian to fulfill their award requirements.
