A friend sent me a link to a cosplay performance of a Klingon Elsa singing the 'Let it Go' song, in Klingon. Costume and performance are fine, but she sings the entire song.  I don't have any reference for it other than it was at a Seattle Comic Convention, probably last year.  The only cosplay contest I've entered was the 2015 Star Wars Celebration --- got Best In Show, too --- and they were as merciless with time limits on stage as any other masquerade I've been to.

But this Klingon performance defies all that.  Is this common at Comic/Manga/Cosplay Conventions?  I've seen long performances at DragonCon costume contests, too, but DC is kind of its own animal.

Link to the performance:

I'm fairly confident that particular performance was from the "Talent show," not a masquerade contest. I have seen several masquerade contests give longer time limits to groups, and seen some "groups" where the second person seemed more a stage ninja than part of the group but had longer musical numbers probably allowed because they were technically a group

Aaaaaah, a talent shop makes sense.  Thanks for the clarification.

I once entered a 'talent show' at a convention once, ages ago.  A couple friends of mine lip-synched 'Earth Girls Are Easy'.  It was a lot of fun.
