Hi everyone,

My name is Bertrand Marquis. I am a Principal Software Architect at Arm and a maintainer of the Xen hypervisor. I will be chairing the Hypervisors and Kernels sub-group within the Core Collective Virtualization group.

The scope of this sub-group is intentionally broad. There are many hypervisors, kernels, unikernels, and RTOSes in the ecosystem, and significant opportunities to improve Arm support, virtualization capabilities, interoperability, and shared infrastructure across these projects.

Given this broad scope, our first meeting will focus on identifying the areas that are most valuable for the group to address and defining the direction we would like to take. I expect this session to be largely a brainstorming discussion, and I encourage everyone to participate and bring forward ideas, challenges, or areas where collaboration could be beneficial.

The goal of the meeting is to define the objectives of the sub-group, identify the key technical topics we want to cover, and begin building a list of potential work items and initiatives.

Julianus will send the invitation shortly. The meeting is currently planned for June 8th.

I look forward to meeting all of you and starting this collaboration.

Best regards,

Bertrand Marquis
