# anaconda-navigator Error

Hi Conda folks,

After several months using anaconda-navigator, it suddenly is throwing this error

Traceback (most recent call last):

    from qtpy.QtGui import QIcon
  File "/root/anaconda3/lib/python3.7/site-packages/qtpy/QtGui.py", line 21, in <module>
    from PyQt5.QtGui import *

ValueError: PyCapsule_GetPointer called with incorrect name

I have tested both

# conda update anaconda-navigator

# conda update --all

But I am still having the same Error. Any Ideas?

I am on a Linux Fedora System
# uname -mrs

Linux 5.8.15-201.fc32.x86_64 x86_64

Up to date

For all of you who had o will have this same problem in the future, the solution came after uninstalling conda completely, following these instructions:

https://docs.anaconda.com/anaconda/install/uninstall/

And installing it all again.

After that, it works!

Be aware that installing PyQt5 on any of your projects will break Anaconda completely and you must uninstall and install it all.
