Is there a reason gmpy2 is not included the Anaconda distribution ?

gmpy2 seems like something that would be part of Anaconda.

Does anyone know why it is not included (e.g., is there an alternative package
for handling large number operations that is included ?) ?

You can install from conda-forge:

conda install -c conda-forge gmpy2
