Resumability in updating packages

Hi Guys,
I don't see conda resuming the download of a package. Fully downloaded packages aren't downloaded again and that's fine.
But lets say i was updating quite a few packages and some x% download was completed when i had cancelled, it seems to start from 0% again. It's quite frustrating, having a poor Internet and esp for bigger packages like 'mkl-11.3.1'. Do tell me if I'm wrong and its actually resuming but not showing it as if so. Or is there some way to pause the update/install?
