An error ocurred while starting the kernel

Hi all,

When opening Sypder I am getting the following error in the iPython Console. Any suggestions?

Did you recently change your preferences for the ipython console via the GUI in Spyder? 

I got a similar error recently when I tried to change the background color to black or dark (I forget exactly which one it is). When I changed it back and restarted Spyder the error was gone.

Hi,

This error should be solved by doing

    conda update path.py
