Error while importing cv2 in Spyder

I tried to install OpenCV library in Anaconda on my Ubuntu 16.04 system. Using the following command in terminal:

$ conda install https://repo.continuum.io/pkgs/main/linux-64/opencv-3.3.1-py36h9bb06ff_1.tar.bz2

But when I open Spyder and try to import cv2 or import cv3. The message appeared that there is no module named 'cv2' or 'cv3'. I need OpenCV to complete my project.

Try "conda install opencv" and then "import cv2".

I don't think "import cv3" ever works: http://answers.opencv.org/question/63405/why-do-python-bindings-for-v3-still-use-package-name-cv2/
