Hi.
I get the following error when trying to install on Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS.

ERROR:
cannot execute native linux-64 binary, output from 'uname -a' is:
Linux csd-amueller 3.13.0-43-generic #72-Ubuntu SMP Mon Dec 8 19:35:06 UTC 2014 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Also, the console is killed after the error is thrown, so I needed to log to a file to see what is going on.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers,
Andy

The only time that error is given is when the system and the binary are mis-matched. Are you sure you're running on a linux 64 machine?

Yes, I am.
That is also what uname says, right?
I tried downloading the 32bit installer just to see, and it warns me that I shouldn't be running it as this is a 64bit machine.

Same result.
I not noticed that the full output is

./miniconda.sh:265: no such file or directory: /home/andy/miniconda/pkgs/python-2.7.8-0/bin/python -E
./miniconda.sh:265: no such file or directory: /home/andy/miniconda/pkgs/python-2.7.8-0/bin/python -E

ERROR:

ERROR:

The python file does exist, though.

Thanks,
Andy

Hey Andy,

Can you try installing with `bash miniconda.sh` instead of ./miniconda.sh` and report back?

Thanks, that works.
That is a somewhat surprising behavior for me.

I was trying to build a minimal miniconda docker image using https://github.com/gliderlabs/docker-alpine and am running into this issue. I expect there is some incompatibility with the binary?

Here was the configuration I'm trying: https://github.com/rothnic/docker/tree/master/conda/2.7

It appears that both alpine and now busybox libraries use musl, which makes it impossible to use anaconda with them.
