Spyder pyplot window mode

Hello
On Windows, using Spyder with python 2.7, I cannot show plot in external window. When typing %matplotlib qt
ImportError: No module named PyQt4
pops out (using ipython console)
Thus I can't launch interactive mode etc
I kindly ask for any help

What output do you see if you close Spyder and run "conda install pyqt"?
If it says that it installed pyqt version 4, you can then try opening Spyder and showing the plot in an external window again.

I'll probably never know what happened as I reinstalled anaconda with newer version and everything is working fine.
