Good Morning,

In partnership with Wildlife Crime Prevention Zambia, our article Recidivism, Opportunity, and Deterrence in Wildlife Crime: Evidence from Zambia was recently published in the International Journal of Law, Crime and Justice.  We interviewed over 300 people incarcerated for wildlife crime in Zambia and looked at the extent to which international research on recidivism is applicable in this context - with implications for wildlife crime law enforcement.

I would be really keen to hear any thoughts and feedback from anyone working in this area as we have continued this research into a pilot project for assisting offender re-entry (currently writing up) and are about to embark on a longer term study using an adapted levels of service and case management inventory framework.

Otherwise I hope it’s just an interesting read!

Best

Emma
