POSITION: Assistant Professor (Non Tenure Track) in Human Dimensions of Natural Resources with an emphasis/expertise in natural resource communications.
APPOINTMENT: 9-month Non-tenure Track Faculty Appointment
The Department of HDNR, in conjunction with the Warner College of Natural Resources (WCNR) seeks a dynamic and innovative individual with an expertise in environmental communication and instruction. The successful applicant will work closely with HDNR faculty as well as faculty in other departments in WCNR to develop a new college-wide curricular emphasis in natural resource communication and provide course instruction related to that strategy. Sections of this course would be relevant to students across WCNR Departments including Human Dimensions of Natural Resources; Ecosystem Science and Sustainability; Fish, Wildlife and Conservation Biology; Forest and Rangeland Stewardship; and Geosciences. Finally, the successful applicant will have the ability to advance the Department’s commitment to diversity and inclusion through teaching, research, and outreach with relevant programs, goals, and objectives.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Required: Ph. D. by appointment start date (August 16, 2017) in an area related to communications with research, teaching or practical experience in natural resources management.
