Greetings, Conservation Biologists!

I am a librarian at SUNY Cortland in upstate New York. I'm collaborating with faculty colleagues in the sciences to write a bibliographic essay on books written by BIPOC scientists, including Conservation Biologists. The essay will be published in CHOICE, a publication that helps academic librarians select new books for their collections. As such, our hope is to increase the representation of works by scientists of color in academic libraries.

We are keeping the scope broad. Books could include works of science for other scientists, popular science, memoirs, books for children, etc. Our editors have asked us to feature works published in the last 10-12 years.

We're wondering if any of you who identify as being of color have written books we should include?  Or do you know of other titles we should seek out?  If so, please feel free to reach out to me at hilar...@cortland.edu. We appreciate any leads!

Thank you for your consideration!

Best Wishes,

Hilary
