The first fall course is coming up soon, 10-27 September. (Yes, this is short notice, but
we thought it better to offer it with little notice than not to offer
it at all.)
The second course is scheduled for 22 October – 14 November.
Thanks to funding from CEPF/CANARI, these courses are offered free of cost!
We will offer these courses in English, but pending additional funding, will offer courses in Spanish and Haitian Creole in 2025.
Two experienced instructors will work with participants in small groups (using Zoom, Mural and MiradiShare) to guide them through a series of hands-on exercises to help them learn Conservation Standards principles and practices.
The course will span 7 formal sessions over 3.5 weeks.
We
follow the formal sessions up with independent exercises
that will help you to take your conservation planning and adaptive management to the next level.
Space is limited to 15 trainees for each course.
Although we have some flexibility, due to our funding from CEPF/CANARI, we must prioritize participants from CEPF target countries in the insular Caribbean:
Antigua & Barbuda, The Bahamas, Jamaica, Saint Lucia and St Vincent & the Grenadines, Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
Trainees from civil society organizations, especially organizations that have multiple applicants.
People
who fill out the application form first.
