Dear Counterfactual Community,
The SCB Impact Evaluation Working Group is submitting a proposal for a symposium titled (provisionally) Evidence and Attribution in the age of Novel Data, Analytical Methods, and Technologies.
We are seeking presentations of research on i) issues, challenges and ways forward to improve attribution (i.e. establishing cause effect relationships) in conservation science; ii) opportunities and challenges presented by recent advances in data, methods, and technologies for impact evaluation in conservation.
Applied and perspective-type contributions are welcome. The aim is to stimulate critical discussions on how to improve conservation impact evaluation, and the ways in which novel data, technologies and methods can support these efforts.
Talks will be 10 minutes long, followed by a 3-minute discussion. We will select 5 presentations for a 1.5 hour standard symposium. For more details see:
https://eccb26leiden.eu/calls/ If you're interested in presenting your work in the symposium, please send a title, abstract, and list of authors to
tanya...@gmail.com before 17th October. The IEWG Board will review the submissions and select talks that best fit the symposium’s topic.
