Professor and Department Head 

 

Applications are invited for a 12-month, 1.0 FTE fixed-term professional faculty for Department Head (approximately 60% administration, 20% teaching or research and scholarship, 10% donor and alumni relations, 10% service and professional development) in the Department of Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Sciences (FWCS) at Oregon State University (OSU). This appointment includes a faculty role with indefinite tenure at the rank of Professor. The Department Head provides overall administrative leadership for FWCS in all its functions. The individual leads a highly productive, multifaceted department with interdisciplinary research programs in applied and basic sciences, on-campus and online undergraduate and graduate degree and certification programs, and public engagement. The Department Head oversees ​​more than 35 faculty (including Extension), 80 courtesy faculty (including USGS cooperative faculty), 130 graduate research/teaching assistants, 14 instructors, and 12 administrative personnel.
