Hi all,

The Smith Fellowship (run in partnership with SCB) is seeking reviewers for 2025, and we need more social scientists! With increasing numbers of socially-focused conservation proposals, your expertise would be invaluable.

Benefits:

  • Provide input on next year's Fellows
  • Help ensure socially-focused proposals are reviewed by socially-trained researchers
  • Gain understanding of how applications are evaluated (helps your students succeed in future years)

Learn more and sign up: smithfellows.org/reviewers

Thanks!
Brian

Hi all - FWIW, I've reviewed these fellowships in the past (and plan to again this year), and it's a really amazing experience to see what junior scholars are proposing. Please help us guide and support the next generation of CSS! Though it takes time, it is also very inspiring plus a fun experience to debrief the reviews as part of the panels with other scholars.
Happy to (informally) answer questions if you have them, though formal questions likely best directed to Nicole Crane and the Smith Fellows team.
Thanks Brian!
~Alia
