Dear all,

We are pleased to announce an upcoming in-person course on Marine Genomics, taking place 25–29 May at the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research (HCMR) in Heraklion, Crete (Greece).

This 5-day course provides a hands-on introduction to marine and population genomics, with a strong focus on practical data analysis.

Most analyses will be performed using UNIX command-line tools and R.

Participants will work with real marine datasets and learn how to:

  • Assess genome assemblies and reference resources

  • Process sequencing data (QC, mapping, variant calling, filtering)

  • Perform population genomics analyses (genetic diversity, structure, demography)

  • Integrate genomic and environmental data (seascape genomics)

  • Run and interpret environment–genomics association analyses

Best regards,
Carlo
