Hello,

I wanted to share this career opportunity for the Human Dimensions Project LeaderOregon Department of Fish & Wildlife is hiring a social scientist to lead marine reserves human dimensions monitoring and research. Projects will focus on how Oregonians use, value, and relate to no-take marine reserves. The position is part of the Nearshore Ecology Program based in Newport, Oregon, USA.

I enjoyed my time in this position working with a great team that included ODFW scientists and managers, academic collaborators, NGO partners, and community members.  I want ODFW to find an excellent person to continue this work. Feel free to email me if you have questions.

Application Deadline: 02/11/2026

Best,
Sarah Klain
