Hello SCB members,
Kindly see the following message from the Global Translocation Study:

We are launching the Global Translocation Study, a collaborative research project to understand how individual traits, environmental conditions and management practices influence animal behaviour in novel environments. The project aims to improve our understanding of animal learning and to strengthen the evidence base for conservation translocations (project summary attached to this email).

To do this, we are compiling post-release movement data (e.g., GPS or VHF) of translocated, reintroduced, relocated and rehabilitated vertebrates. We plan to invite contributors to complete a brief survey (https://tinyurl.com/global-translocation-study) by May 1, after which we will follow up with the data-sharing procedure and conditions.

We would be keen to include data of vertebrates from Latin America and the Carribeans in our analyses. In this context, I am contacting you to ask whether it may be possible to circulate our proposal to the mailing list of the SCB LACA Region. We would also welcome any suggestions of researchers or practitioners you know who might be interested in contributing to the study.

We thank you in advance for your help,

Best wishes,

Inès & Nathan
on behalf of the Global Translocation Study (Inès Khazar, Simon Chamaillé-Jammes, Nicolas Morellet, Nathan Ranc)
