Final Reminder: Abstract Submission Deadline Extended to 15 February | CAC Nepal 2026

We would like to share a final reminder regarding abstract submissions for the Conservation Asia Congress Nepal 2026 (CAC Nepal 2026).
We are deeply grateful for the strong response from the conservation community so far, with over 480 abstracts submitted from 41 countries. This level of engagement reflects the importance of the Congress as a regional platform for dialogue and exchange.
However, at present, 57% of submissions originate from just three countries. To strengthen regional representation and ensure that the Congress reflects the full diversity of conservation contexts and voices across Asia, we have extended the abstract submission deadline one final time.

15 February 2026 (23:59, Kathmandu time)
This extension responds to continued requests and recognizes the geopolitical, institutional, and technical challenges affecting many parts of the region. It is intended to support colleagues working under these constraints and to enable broader participation across Asia.
We particularly encourage submissions from underrepresented regions, including:
Southeast Asia, including Myanmar, Lao PDR, Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines
Central and West Asia, including the Central Asian republics and the Caucasus
Island ecosystems
If travel costs are a concern, please note that travel bursary requests can be submitted as part of the abstract submission process. We strongly encourage submissions from early-career researchers, practitioners, and community-based conservation leaders.
Notification of abstract acceptance outcomes will be communicated by late February to early March 2026.
If you are working on a draft, we encourage you to submit it soon. We would also appreciate your support in sharing this call with colleagues and networks who may benefit from this final extension.
