Dear Colleagues,

The Society for Conservation Biology (SCB) Asia Region, the SCB Nepal Chapter, and the Burhan Community Regeneration and Conservation Foundation (BCRCF) are pleased to share an important update regarding the upcoming 6th Conservation Asia Congress (CAC Nepal 2026). Due to an overwhelming response and numerous requests for additional time to process institutional funding and finalize administrative approvals, we have officially extended the Early Bird registration deadline to April 25th, 2026.

We recognize that securing international travel grants and university logistics can be time-consuming. We hope this extension provides our diverse network of professionals, students, and practitioners with the necessary flexibility to secure their attendance at the discounted rate.

CAC Nepal 2026 will take place from June 3–5, 2026, preceded by interactive, expert-led pre-congress workshops on June 1–2, 2026. The event will be held at the historic Hotel Yak & Yeti in Kathmandu, Nepal—a landmark heritage venue that hosted the very first SCB Regional Congress 21 years ago. Under the theme "Harmonising Biodiversity and Human Well-being in Asia," the Congress will serve as the premier networking event for the Asian conservation community, fostering dialogue, collaboration, and innovation.

Important Notice for Presenters and Organizers:

  • Please note that all accepted symposium speakers, workshop organizers, oral, speed talk, and poster presenters must complete their registration by this new April 25th deadline to guarantee their inclusion in the official scientific program

To secure your registration, please visit the CAC Nepal official website: https://conbio.org/mini-sites/cac-nepal-2026/

Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Congress Coordination Team at conserva...@conbio.org.

We look forward to welcoming you to Kathmandu to celebrate over two decades of conservation progress in Asia.

Sincerely,
Flavia
