We are pleased to invite you to the SCB Asia Section symposium happening today (June 16th):

"Operationalization of Frameworks to Integrate Formal and Experiential Knowledge for Effective Species and Ecosystem Conservation in Asia"

This interactive session will take place at the International Congress for Conservation Biology (ICCB 2025) in Brisbane, Australia, and will feature a combination of lightning talks and poster presentations.

Session Details:

📍 Venue: Meeting Room M4, Mezzanine Level, Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre

🕒 Lightning Talks: 15:30–16:30

🖼️ Poster Presentations & Discussion: 16:30–18:00

Speakers: Avantika Thapa, Sayan Banerjee, Andrea Philliot, and Yashendu Joshi

The session will begin with 1-minute oral highlights from each speaker, followed by a dedicated poster session for deeper engagement and discussion. This format is designed to encourage meaningful dialogue between formal scientific approaches and experiential knowledge for conservation in Asia.

We warmly welcome all ICCB participants interested in inclusive, effective conservation practices across the region.
