Once again this year, NABU – Germany's largest nature conservation organization – is looking for the Snow Leopard Award winner of the year. Help us spread the word and share our call through your channels to reach as many snow leopard conservationists in Central Asia as possible.
Which individual or organization has shown outstanding commitment or innovation in protecting snow leopards this year?
We welcome nominations from individuals or organizations involved in nature and species conservation, as well as from politics, science, or culture, who have contributed to the protection of snow leopards, their prey, or their habitat.
You can help promote the campaign by:
- Sending the press release to your media contacts and mailing lists
- Posting the sharepic on your social media channels
- Publishing the call on your website

Do you need the sharepic or press release in a language other than English or Russian? Please contact us – we'll be happy to provide the materials in your local language.
The call for nominations is open until September 14, 2025.

Dear friends and fellow snow leopard supporters,
We're excited to finally share some wonderful news: Tshiring Lhamu Lama from Nepal has been chosen as the winner of the Snow Leopard Award 2025! Congratulations, Tshiring! From all of us at NABU, both in Germany and around the world, we send you our heartfelt congratulations. Your work in the remote Dolpo Himalayas of Nepal is nothing short of heroic. You've stood up for snow leopards, protected them from retaliation, and found ways to help herders and wildlife live side by side. You're showing the world what real conservation looks like.
We're emailing this a little late, as yesterday another important topic was in the spotlight, and we didn't want to take away from that. But after-parties matter too 😊
So, let's keep the celebration going! Let's raise our voices for snow leopards and for people like Tshiring, whose work truly keeps these magnificent creatures alive.
