Hello

On behalf of the Applied Biodiversity Science Program at Texas A&M University, we are excited to request submissions to the 8th issue of the Applied Biodiversity Science Perspectives Series.  The Perspectives Series requests submissions from students and faculty working with students whose work focuses on natural resources, conservation, and the environment.

The Applied Biodiversity Science Perspectives Series is a student-centered online, open-access publication of popular press articles.  Are mission is to enhance communication between academic and non-academic audiences by publishing stories of conservation in action, written by students, faculty, and their collaborators.  The collection of essays are intended to share those stories and the insights, opinions, and field experiences of the conservationists who lived them.  By telling the stories of the complex, interconnected relationship between humans and the natural systems they live, the Perspective Series advances the mission of the Applied Biodiversity Science program at Texas A&M University.  Submissions should be in the form of, but not limited to, the following:

Manuscripts Types:

  • Essay (or photo-essay) related to field experiences while conducting research internationally or domestically.
  • Commentary on issues, research, and policy pertinent to natural resources, conservation, and the environment.
  • Research summary of student research findings or novel insights presented in a popular-press format
  • Prospectus of future research projects in-development or those having preliminary results.
