The successful candidate is expected to teach a set of required Environmental Studies courses, with the potential to cross-list courses with related departments outside of Environmental Studies, and develop courses for the University Core and an elective in an area of interest.

Research areas of interest include, but are not limited to, land-use and land-cover change, ecosystem management, remote sensing, environmental informatics, urban ecology, agroecosystems, adaptation and resilience of coupled human-environmental systems.  Applied research pertaining to questions of sustainability and environmental management is preferred.
