Two new social science positions with the USFWS. (See below).  Great to see this agency, increasing conservation social science capacity.

Note the REALLY fast turnaround on when the positions close, and the first is only open to U.S. government employees.

As part of a growing effort within the Fish and Wildlife Service to expand its social science and human dimensions capacity to build on the work of Mark Chase and Natalie Sexton to bolster the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's capacity in the area of social science and human dimensions that can help us make better decisions, and achieve better results through greater understanding.

In the Southeast Region, we are playing an exciting role in expanding those opportunities with the establishment of a position focusing on social science related to natural resource management. 

We are looking for candidates with experience in applying social science methods, both qualitative and quantitative to natural resource management work and decisions; developing and delivering multiple human dimensions research projects based on identified needs from natural resource leaders and practitioners in the region; integrating sophisticated social science and human dimensions research into communications and engagement tools focusing on diverse audiences with a demonstrated record of positive outcomes in natural resource decision making.
