Graduate Assistantship Opportunity: Human Dimensions of Natural Resources and Conservation

The School of Forestry & Natural Resources at the University of Arkansas at Monticello is seeking applicants for a M.S. Assistantship available beginning August 16, 2018. The assistantship covers an annual stipend and tuition. The student will join the The Human Element Lab to pursue a Master of Science (M.S.) degree and research focused on the Human Dimensions of Natural Resources, advised by Dr. Kenneth Wallen. The student will have an opportunity to develop a degree plan and applied research project focused on the social and behavioral aspects of natural resources management and conservation. Potential projects may relate to, for example: (a) chronic wasting disease, (b) invasive species management, (c) multi-stakeholder collaborative partnership, or (d) the application of social marketing techniques to natural resources management.
