The Applied Biodiversity Science at Texas A&M University is happy to announce the 2017 issue of the Perspectives Series, a student-centered online publication dedicated to communicating conservation research to academic and non-academic audiences.

The collection of articles, essays, and reflections published is this year's issue share the insights, opinions, and experiences of undergraduates, graduate students, and faculty involved in biodiversity conservation research at Texas A&M University and other universities worldwide.  The 2017 issue is available for online viewing and download at:


By telling the stories of the complex, interconnected relationship between humans and the natural systems they live, the Perspective Series seeks to improve scientific communication and advance the overarching mission of the Applied Biodiversity Science program at Texas A&M University. The ABS program’s mission it to bring multiple perspectives together—from ecology and psychology, to genetics and anthropology—to train researchers to and conduct research that address the global challenge of reducing the loss of biodiversity and its impacts on human livelihoods.
