Join SCB’s Ecological Footprint Committee
Great opportunity to learn about carbon neutrality and sustainability

We hope that SCB student members and young professionals interested in sustainability and carbon neutrality will consider joining SCB's Ecological Footprint Committee. You’ll be working with experienced professionals to help SCB (and other organizations) assess and offset our environmental footprint. This is a great chance to contribute in a meaningful way to environmental initiatives, help SCB identify carbon offset projects, learn from professionals in the field, and diversify your resume. The deadline to submit a brief expression of interest to Committee Chair Ron Abrams has been extended to Friday, 13 February. Click here for more information.

SCB's latest carbon offset project (2010 - 2013) is the Wild Rose Conservation Site, a rolling landscape of native mixed grass prairie in southern Alberta, Canada. SCB's investment in site, along with partner organizations, has helped to restore and protect native grasslands, which will yield sequestration and long-term storage of carbon in the soil for less than $6 tonne-1 of CO2 equivalents.
