Dear SCB membership,

The deadline for the nomination process for IPBES regional assessments, land degradation thematic assessment and the scoping of the global assessment is 31 March 2015

If you are interested in participating, please complete the online application by clicking on this link: http://www.ipbes.net/applicationform.html

This online application form requests you to download your Curriculum Vitae and the contact information of the person that will validate your nomination in the government or the organisation you are seeking nomination from (nominator).

Stakeholders seeking nomination through their governments, or another government with whom they may have good connections, have better chances of getting nominated. A minimum of 80% of accepted nominations will be from IPBES government members, i.e. chances of getting a nomination accepted are more than four times higher for those who have a government nomination behind them. You can find the list of IPBES National Focal Points following this link : http://www.ipbes.net/about-ipbes/national-focal-points.html

Non-government institutions such as SCB can also nominate. If you are seeking nomination by SCB, please contact the IPBES contact points asap – Carolyn Lundquist Carolyn....@niwa.co.nz and Bengt-Gunnar Jonsson Bengt-gunn...@miun.se

If you are not nominated or if you are not chosen by IPBES, you can still bring your knowledge and quality to the process by reviewing/commenting on documents.

Current documents under review are available on IPBES website following this link (deadline 31 march 2015):

Many thanks!
