Subject: Botany Bill: HR 1054 – Call for advocacy!
Have you heard about the "Botany Bill"? Formally known as “The Botanical Sciences and Native Plant Materials Research, Restoration and Promotion Act, HR 1054” was introduced to the United States House of Representatives in February 2017.
The Botany Bill is intended to promote botanical research and botanical sciences capacity (including botanical education), generate demand for native plant materials, and authorize related federal activities. The Plant Conservation Alliance Non-Federal Cooperators Committee is coordinating advocacy actions for the Bill.
The PCA is seeking your help in this grassroots effort! If you are interested in helping out (including emailing, calling, or visiting your representatives) and getting updates on the bill, sign up here! http://www.plantconservationalliance.org/botany-bill
