Pep Band Opportunities

Hi everyone!

We’ve got two pep band gigs coming up this spring, and if you’ve been thinking about joining Pep Band (or coming back for another round), these are really fun opportunities!

Ohio Roller Derby – May 9 - SIGN UP HERE

Grab your roller skates, pigtails, and knee pads—we’re heading to the roller derby at the Ohio State Fairgrounds! I’m programming some fun roller-derby–themed music, so it should be a blast. Right now, it looks like we’ll only be playing for the 5:00 p.m. game, but the "B Team" also plays at 7. Final details are still being worked out.

1 Rehearsal: Tuesday, May 5 – 7:15 p.m. @ Harmony Center (after the Marching Band Section Leaders meeting).  Music will be selected by April 20th.

If there’s a lot of interest—especially from folks who might be new to Pep Band or the music—we may add an earlier rehearsal as well.

Ohio AIDS Walk – April 18 - SIGN UP HERE

The Ohio AIDS Walk is looking for some entertainment along the route, and we’ve been invited to help bring the energy!

I know this is the same day as the “EXTRA!” concert, but Robert and Jenn both agreed this is such an important event for us to support. Don’t worry—we’ll keep it light so nobody blows their chops out before the concert.

This one will be very casual and low-commitment. We should be done around 10:30am

• No Rehearsal
• Quick Music Run-Through at 9:30 a.m. that morning.
• Perform around 10:00 a.m. for about 20–30 minutes
• MUSIC will be selected and shared by April 6th - nothing new to pep band!

Both are great opportunities to represent the band, support our community, and have some fun making noise together.
