Data Science + Humanities Symposium & fireside chat with Dr. Safiya U. Noble

Registration for the data science + humanities symposium with a fireside chat by Dr. Safiya U. Noble, author of Algorithms of Oppression is live! This event will take place throughout the day and into the evening on Friday, March 7, 2025. On the linked webpage, please note that there are drop-down tabs for two distinct “events within the event” that are taking place via the broader data science + humanities symposium that day.

The in-person, daytime symposium is open to campus only and has a capacity of 80 people.

The evening talk with Dr. Noble is open to the public. We expect to fill the 200 seat Chancellor’s auditorium. We are live streaming the event for our campus only as well. In that case, we encourage people to sign-up soon if they are serious about attending the talk in-person.
