Hello all,
Just a reminder that a watch party for the Association for Computers and the Humanities annual conference keynote “Local and Global Digital Social Justice” will be taking place TODAY starting at 1:30pm in
CBIS! ACH is the national-level digital humanities organization and has a great program planned for this conference. The watch party is a great opportunity for you and your students to connect with the DH community on campus and share in the talk and some
good food together, if you have a break between other commitments on campus. Did I mention there is food? 😉 No worries if you haven’t registered.
Please share widely with your colleagues and students! This could be a great way to focus on something positive today. I’m looking forward to seeing those who can make it there.

I acknowledge that CU Boulder is located on the traditional territories and ancestral homelands of the Cheyenne, Arapaho, Ute and many other contemporary tribal nations historically tied to the lands that comprise what is now called Colorado. Their forced removal from these territories has caused devastating and lasting impacts. Full CU Boulder land acknowledgment.

We’re happy to announce the Colorado Regional Hub of the Association for Computers and the Humanities (ACH) 2024 Annual Conference, organized by CU Boulder, CU Denver, CU Colorado Springs, University of Denver, Colorado School of Mines, and University of Northern Colorado.
Keynote Presentation Watch Party
Join us on Wednesday, November 6th at 1:30pm - 4pm Mountain Time, at the University of Colorado Boulder in Norlin Library M549/CBIS, for our Keynote Presentation Watch Party, with a focus on “Local and Global Digital Social Justice” with K.J. Rawson and T-Kay Sangwand. Learn more about the keynote speakers at https://ach2024.ach.org/keynote/. Food will be provided as we engage in these conversations and come together as a community. Please RSVP below by Monday, November 4th, to ensure we have enough to eat. Also, be sure to check out CU Boulder’s visitor parking options.
Virtual Lightning Talks Forum
We are also excited to host a Virtual Lightning Talks Forum on critical digital scholarship projects on Friday, November 8th at 12pm - 1:30pm Mountain Time. We hope to recognize and celebrate projects and initiatives that aim to decolonize the digital cultural record across fields in and beyond the humanities (such as social work, medicine, sociology, communication, environmental studies, journalism, etc). All topics and fields are welcome, as is research-in-progress and pedagogical experiments. We especially hope for presentations that intersect with digital and data justice, resistance, and futures. Presenters will have approximately five minutes to share their work and may sign-up with the form below by Thursday, November 7th.
To RSVP for these events and to sign up as a lightning talk presenter, fill out this form: https://forms.gle/VMg9Wyy2iyhKD9P88
