The UW Libraries' Digital Scholarship Center will be offering Software Carpentries for Reproducible Research at the end of the month for 4 days (Nov. 28 to Dec. 1). Software Carpentry aims to help researchers get their work done in less time and with less pain by teaching them basic research computing skills. This hands-on workshop will cover basic concepts and tools, including program design, version control, data management, and task automation. Participants will be encouraged to help one another and to apply what they have learned to their own research problems. This is an online/hybrid training offered via Zoom with in-person support in Laramie, but there is no requirement to attend in person. Registration is free and first come first served. Details here.
