Issues with Word format of new CDS

At the University of Pittsburgh, this year we are utilizing the Word format of the CDS template for the first time because it is the most accessible format available.

I am having issues with opening the CDS.docx after it's been saved. Each time I open it, I receive a message that "Word found unreadable content". It then asks, "Do I want to recover the contents of the document?"

When I click "Yes", it opens, but as a new document that I need to resave. Then when I resave it and try to reopen, the same thing happens over and over. I currently have four versions of the CDS saved.
