B1 Question - Unknown Gender Counts

Good morning!

I'm a little confused by Item B1 this year and am hoping for some clarification.  The grid has an additional column for "Unknown" Gender, but the instructions still say:

"In cases where gender information is not provided, please distribute across the two-binary categories."

Can you please explain how to handle these counts?
