Peterson's Survey

Anyone else experiencing issues completing the Peterson's Survey? Our CDS was received on April 22nd and still not populated in the survey. We are getting "the information you're about to submit is not secure" screen. Also one of our sections is showing as completed but none of my colleagues submitted that data, and we cannot view the submitted data. 

We are concerned about the June 28th deadline but have not heard back from Peterson's about our extension request. Wondering if other schools are in the same boat.

Our institution is experiencing similar challenges as well as the "Save and Continue" is not saving the entered information, particularly Q29. I have saved and resaved it but when I reopen the link the information is different than what I saved.

Our institution did not receive survey notification, so I reached out to them via email. The response indicated they are fixing issues with our institution's online survey and invited us to complete a fillable PDF, as an alternative option, that will be used to populate the online survey once the issues are fixed.

May I ask who you worked with at Peterson's to learn that your institution's online survey was being revised?

I work at Aurora University and we have not received any notification since the announcement was made in late May regarding Peterson's Undergraduate Survey. I have sent communications to the email address provided, but have been unsuccessful in receiving a response.

Any information you can provide, including the fillable PDF, would be greatly appreciated.

HI All,

I had received similar information as Steve did and am attaching the instructions and template fillable PDF that Francisco Ouano (francis...@petersons.com) sent to me as well as the one updated to add bookmarks and highlighting of the non-CDS questions. I would say it might be safer to do the PDF one instead of the online one (or both - to be safe) because the online one is missing several questions that are included in the fillable PDF one (e.g. the first half of the Expenses section). See attached for my rough alignment comparison of last year's Peterson's survey with this year's PDF and online survey forms. I have shared this with the Peterson's team, so they are aware of the issues as well.

You might also hear from Raymart Samillano if you use the Peterson's general research email (rese...@petersons.com). He has been quick to respond and helpful.

Additionally, they have said that if you sent them a CDS earlier, then they will use that to upload your data, but they have had issues doing that in the new online survey system at this time. So, if you have sent that, then you shouldn't need to worry about that. Rather, you might only need to send them the fillable PDF with the responses filled in for the fillable PDF for only the non-CDS (highlighted) questions - to get it in by today's deadline (in case you don't hear back from them letting you know about an extension). 

I think that this has been a rough transition on the Peterson's team, so hopefully we can all extend them some grace - especially since they seem to be doing the same for us.

Hi everyone,

Thank you for that Sarah. We are working on it as diligently as we can. One of the tricky aspects of the survey system is that once the survey is started, it is frozen in its current state. We have fixed many of the issues that you all have mentioned but they won't show up for anyone who has already started their survey, which is very unfortunate.

As you recommended, we are certainly happy to take your CDS or the form-fillable PDF in lieu of the online survey. If you want to submit your CDS and the form-fillable PDF with only the non-CDS questions filled in, that works for us too! We really want to make it as easy as possible for you to submit your data and we understand the online system is presenting challenges for everyone.

Deadline extensions are certainly possible, we are grateful to have your participation, so if you want to send your CDS and knock it out for this year that could make your life way easier and we will have this ironed out next time around. Otherwise, use the PDF form. Whatever is easiest for you and your organization.
