Hello,

My name is Lauren Watson, and I’m the Director of Neuroinclusive Programs at Warren Wilson College. I’m reaching out to personally invite you to the inaugural Minds of All Kinds Annual Summit on 2/27, a free, full-day, on-campus event at Warren Wilson College focused on supporting neurodivergent high school students in the transition to college. This event is designed for educators, counselors, SPED professionals, and others who support students and families in navigating this transition, with a parallel track of sessions and experiences tailored for high school students and their families throughout the day. This event is part of Warren Wilson’s larger Neuroinclusion Initiative,

The Summit includes campus tours, Q&A panels, a campus resource fair during a provided lunch in our dining hall, and sessions on academic, social, and residential supports at WWC. We are excited to offer professional development breakout sessions from a variety of local experts, with continuing education certificates provided for completed training hours. Come see our beautiful mountain campus, get to know our faculty and staff, and walk away with resources and strategies you can use with your students right away!

The Summit kicks off at 9 AM in the Gladfelter Student Center at 114 Upper College Rd, Swannanoa, NC 28778. Coffee, tea, and light refreshments will be provided as attendees check in and hear opening remarks from our students and a keynote from the Summit’s founder. The day will end with closing remarks from our students and staff at 3:30 PM, and attendees will have the opportunity to meet individually with our staff from 3:30 - 4 PM to ask questions and connect.

We also ask that you share the attached flyer and registration link with the students and families you work with who may benefit from attending.
