After nearly 3 years in the making, I’m excited to introduce the trailer for my new documentary: The A Word: Autism and Acceptance in the Black Community 🎥

This film explores the intersectional barriers faced by Black autistic individuals and their families—barriers rooted not just in disability stigma, but also in racial bias, lack of research, and systemic erasure.

By highlighting the lived experiences of Black autistic young adults and their parents, The A Word Documentary promotes both awareness and hope—hope for a world that doesn’t just tolerate differences, but accepts, values, and affirms them.
