Event Description:
To celebrate Disability Employment Month, SUNY Empire State University CAARES presents a workshop on finding and building workplaces that support neurodivergent workers. Keshard Chery is a neurodiversity advocate from the Boston area with a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from Northeastern University. She co-authored a chapter on the transition from higher education to the workplace and participated in the Disability: IN NextGen Leader Program, where she connected with expert leaders in disability inclusion and gained valuable insights from their experiences.

As a polished public speaker, Keshard has led several presentations bringing awareness and acceptance to the implications of neurodiversity. At a global pharmaceutical company, she co-founded a disability employee resource group, spearheaded community engagement initiatives, and significantly influenced policy changes to increase accessibility during the hiring process.

Keshard also is involved with the Northeastern University Neurodiversity Initiative and continues to provide her support in their initiatives. She is currently building and fostering community events in Boston, MA.
