Greetings, CAN community! I have exciting news to share – Emory Oaks (a college autism support program housed at the Emory Autism Center/Emory University, Atlanta, GA) will be recruiting a Post-Doctoral Fellow for the 2026-27 academic year. I will be contacting this list again in a month or so with a more formal announcement and information on how to apply, but I thought it would be a good idea to engage this group a bit ahead of time.

The position is rather flexible: (a) it is a one year position, but potential for a second year contingent upon fit and funding; (b) it is mainly a providing services type of role (e.g., directly supporting Emory University autistic students), but there will be opportunities to engage in research and evaluation, consultation and training, and potentially other activities and projects based on interest and opportunities; (c) there will be a mixture of virtual and in-person roles; (d) start date is flexible but we are aiming for Summer 2026; and (e) we are open to a fairly wide array of educational and professional backgrounds; if the eventual hire is seeking Licensure in Psychology, there will be opportunities for supervision and a community of other future Psychologists for didactics, peer support, etc.

In addition, I also direct school-based consultation and training services here at the Emory Autism Center (including a specialized project focused on transition planning for autistic students and their families); so there will also be opportunities to engage with that work if desired.

We are expecting an outstanding neurodiverse applicant pool, and Emory Oaks strives to be a neuro-affirming program for our student participants, our trainees, and our staff.

Please share with the exceptional early career professionals that you think might be interested in this position. For those interested, it would be wonderful to receive an email expressing interest, along with a CV; please contact me at matts...@emory.edu. Happy to field any questions you may have.

Best,

- Matt
