All,
Please take a moment to review the latest version of the MVD Final Report (v4) before our next WG call of 03 June.

As with the previous version, please use the table at the beginning of the report to indicate your review progress status.

I would like to point out several important elements for the group to consider during its review:

1/ NEW SECTIONS:
- Abstract
- Section #3. Three lenses on a language's situation
- Section# 7. Looking Ahead: Phase 2 and Next Steps
Please make sure to review these sections thoroughly.

1/ TERMINOLOGY:
This version highlights different terms than v3, in particular in the Abstract. This is important from a messaging perspective, as it reflects the key concepts the group wants to highlight.

v3v4
ARIARI Class
AI Capability ModelCapability Tier
AIR Gap AnalysisCARE Gap Analysis

2/ NARRATIVE:
v4 deviates from v3 in some of its articulation. The group should confirm the overall direction it wants to pursue:
- does the group adhere to the proposed three assessments of a language's current situation?
- should the concept of Culture Richness Class be presented as a main component of the framework, or as a subcomponent of the Gap Analysis?
- Are the Capability Tiers an assessment tool of a language's current situation or are they target minimum thresholds needed to unlock certain AI capability?
- Is the gap analysis a Governance-only item or does it also have a cultural component to it? How should it be named?

I encourage the group to use this email chain to chime in on these different questions, so that the group can come up to some decisions and finalize this report.

Thanks
Nathalie

Dear All,
The diagrams and a schema need to be labelled appropriately e.g., Figure 1. A diagram of ....
Secondly, it is imperative to put the source where it is applicable if we pick such a figure from an academic source.
Can we standardise the combination of the footnote(Chicago/Oxford)  reference and alphabetical (Harvard/APA) style? Perhaps we can choose one to make it uniform throughout the document. I recommend IEEE Standards because it uses in-text serial numbers, making it easier to quickly pick citations.

Thank you, team.
