We wanted to share an upcoming paid fellowship opportunity from the Aspen Institute for STEM and climate-focused professionals. Applications are open for the Aspen Policy Academy’s summer 2025 Science & Technology Policy Fellowship. This training program will equip experts, from AI engineers to ecologists, with the tools and knowledge they need to impact policy.
Important information and dates:
The Fellowship will run full-time, in-person in San Francisco from June 3-27
Applications are due at 11:59pm PT on Tuesday, February 18
Applicants must be 21 or older, be based in the US, and have science, climate, or tech expertise
Fellows will receive a $7,500 base stipend with an additional $5,000 for those participating in the remote policy project phase
The program is intended for those with little to no policy experience
The Fellowship will consist of two blocks: 1) a mandatory, in-person, full-time, immersive policy bootcamp that teaches participants the basics of policymaking and 2) an optional final project. The policy bootcamp will take place from June 3-27, 2025, at Tides Converge in San Francisco. Fellows will have the option to work remotely part-time on a final project from June 30-August 25, 2025.
