CCI board members.

I heard a proposal for a cci letter to the federal delegation on the shutdown and want to offer a quick note of support.  I’m sure you would agree that it will be difficult to find language that counties could agree on.  We may be able to get to something that simply describes the impact, but even an ask that the letter encourage them to negotiate to get the letter open may be DOA, given the position of the majority party that no negotiations can happen until the government is open.

If this looks like it is headed for a contested vote, will you please give us a heads up so we can be sure to prioritize that on out calendars?

Thanks,

Many thanks for your email! I’m away from the office on Oct. 22-Nov. 3 with very limited email access. Please email Executive Assistant Sarah Roddis at sro...@jeffco.us, if you need assistance from our office or you would like a response before Nov. 4. I look forward to connecting with you when I return on November 4.

All my best,

Lesley

Hi George,

Kelly has drafted a letter that I believe the Board of CCI will be getting to membership hopefully today.  It is an excellent letter that I believe really addresses the issues we are facing without political judgement.......if that is even possible.

Will keep you posted soon,
Carrie

Hi George,

Thank you for your email. I agree that drafting a letter that everyone can agree upon will not be easy, in fact, I have seen that Commissioner James is working on his own version of a letter. I need to reconnect with Kelly to see where we are at. My initial understanding was that we would be looking at a letter on November 7.

Best,

Kristin
