Across the country, people running for office at all levels of government — including many Moms Demand Action volunteers! — are echoing our demands for stronger gun laws. They're ready to get into office and push back against the gun lobby.
And we know this strategy works: Last November, we were able to hand gun-lobby-backed extremists a sound defeat across the country:
- In Virginia, former Moms Demand Action volunteer Abigail Spanberger was elected as governor and 13 Moms Demand Action volunteers were elected to the Virginia General Assembly. Spanberger recently passed a slate of gun safety laws
- In New Jersey, gun safety advocate Mikie Sherrill won her bid for Governor, ensuring the Garden State continues its great work to end gun violence
- In Pennsylvania, our gun sense majority on the PA Supreme Court remains intact after all three of our endorsed judges won their re-election
But Musk is ready to throw an absurd amount of money to prevent our strategy from working. We can continue our efforts to secure victory for Gun Sense Candidates this election year, but we have to work together:
