Hi Jonathan,

Thank you for your help. What date can I mark on my calendar for accepting reservations? I will get started on this reservation packet. Is it possible to book the hallways outside the chambers? I have heard that in the past it was possible to meet in the mezzanine outside between the two chambers or downstairs on the first floor in an open gallery. Is that still possible? I am also cc'ing a Committee Chair for the Council, Commissioner Jody Shadduck McNally, who has more knowledge of the spaces.

For the direct communication from a legislator, shall I request that they email you directly? Or is there another contact for Senate Services?

Thank you!

Good Afternoon Courtney,

We are still a bit early to book for the end of January, but we can get the process started. I have attached a reservation request packet for the table area outside the OSCC, as that is the space we allow for food to be served. There is no food or drink allowed in the Old Supreme Court. Please be aware I have attached the request packet for the table area only. If the group would like to use the courtroom as well, please let me know, and I will provide you with the request packet for the room.

Please review the packet carefully and return the completed request form to me. It is required that the group has a legislative sponsor, and Senate Services is currently requesting that we receive a direct, written communication from the legislator stating that they are sponsoring the event and will be in attendance. It is the responsibility of the requesting party to secure the confirmation from the sponsoring legislator.

If you have any questions, please let me know, and I will do my best to answer them for you.

Hi Jonathan,

I hope you are well. I support the Colorado Forest Health Council, an advisory body for the General Assembly and Governor. It lives within the Colorado Department of Natural Resources. We would like to book the Old Supreme Court space for an informational breakfast. We are looking for a Thursday in late January, perhaps the 22nd or 29th. Will you please help me with this? It is my first time attempting to book the space.

Courtney,

There is nowhere to hang anything, but the use of freestanding easels is allowed in the area immediately outside of the OSCC and in the table area, as long as they do not block any hallways or doors. Materials cannot promote any specific business, entity or organization. Any use of the hallway and table area will require a separate reservation as well, as the Court Chamber and table area have been made into distinct zones.

Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns, I am happy to assist.

Hi Jonathan,

I hope you are doing well. The Forest Health Council is looking forward to an event in 2026. They are curious about bringing storyboards and posters; is there are place to hang things? Or a place to put easels?

Thank you for any information you can provide,

Good Morning,

We do not begin taking reservations for the Supreme Court or table area until 3 months before the requested date. Please reach back out to us in the Autumn and we can work on getting this reservation created for you.

Thank you,

Jonathan

Jody,

To clarify the table area that you are requesting is on the mezzanine at the north end of the building outside of the Old Supreme Court. The remainder of the mezzanine is public space and cannot be reserved.

Thank you, if you have any other questions, please let me know.

Dear Jonathan,
For the past several years, CCI and CCAT have been out in the mezzanine with coffee and breakfast for commissioners to meet with Legislators. Has this changed or are those spaces available?
Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide.

Respectfully,
